About Me

Chris (he/him) is a theatrical designer, technician, educator, and a budding full stack software developer. He is currently serving as the Faculty Technical Director for the University of South Florida School of Theatre and Dance. He received an MFA in Theatre: Technology and Design from Louisiana State University in 2015. Chris received a Bachelor of Music Education from LSU in 2008 and held a level 2 Teaching Certificate with additional certification in the Supervision of Student Teachers.

Since then, he has worked in various capacities such as Sound Designer, Technical Director, Production Manager, and Lighting Designer with companies such as Opera Saratoga (Saratoga Springs, NY), Red Magnolia Theatre Company (Baton Rouge, LA), Manship Theatre at the Shaw Center for the Arts (Baton Rouge, LA), Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre (Grand Lake, CO), Outcast Theatre Collective (Tampa, FL), and the Straz Center for the Performing Arts (Tampa, FL).

Chris started coding to create plugins for a drafting software to speed up his workflow. From there, his coding journey continued to facilitate task automation and student learning. Chris has since coded in several languages including Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. His work can be seen in this web site. Please feel free to contact Chris with any questions or work offers.
